Selena will be a judge on Disney’s new show Shake it Up “Make Your Mark” alongside Sean Kingston and Debby Ryan. It will premiere October 14th on Disney Channel.Here’s what she tweeted.

Yesterday was busy backstage! First we had Simon Cowell telling us about his new show and the time he told his boss off. And comedian Natasha Leggero goes after you video gamers. Selena appeared on “The Tonight Show with JayLeno” to perform her current single which is climbing the charts “Love You Like a Love Song”. She did a terrfic job and this could probably be her best love you like a love song performance. Check out the video and the photos below.

Selena made an appearance on MuchMusic’s “New Music Live” this afternoon (August 24). She was promoting her Canadian “We Own the Night” tour and her new album as well and she  answered some fans questions too. Check out the photos from her appearance below.

But things will heat up even before those stars take the stage thanks to Selena Gomez, who has been tapped to kick off the night’s festivities as the celebrity host on the pre-show black carpet.

The platinum recording artist and Emmy Award-winning actress will anchor the pre-show on Sunday, August 28, starting at 8 p.m. (live Eastern Time/ tape-delayed Pacific Time), reporting on breaking news and interviewing her peers alongside MTV’s team of correspondents, including Sway Calloway, Jim Cantiello and James Montgomery.

“I am very excited to be a part of the 2011 VMAs! After all of my years watching the VMAs, the pre-show has always been one of my favorite parts. It is a true honor to be hosting from the black carpet this year,” Gomez said in a statement.

E! uploaded a clip from Selena’s E! Special where she opens up about her parents’ divorce and the emotional toll it took on her and her family! Its really sad to see but she’s a strong girl and she was able to make it thus far.
